Bar Harbor Farm is a MOFGA-certified organic vegetable farm, located on 45-acres of historic farmland near Town Hill. The land, identified as having statewide agricultural significance, has been put under an agricultural and conservation easement to ensure it remains farmland forever. We grow with “forever” in mind; making building, and restoring the soils is our time priority.

Rose Avenia and Glenon Friedmann, managers and owners fo the farm, with a shared passion for growing vegetables, began this project together 13 years ago. We are pleased to offer friendship and good food to people on Mount Desert Island and beyond who want to know where their food comes from.
