Anna and Seth own and operate North Branch Farm in Monroe along with their two children. The farm includes an organic apple and pear orchard, organic highbush blueberries, a grass-fed beef herd, hay fields, and a fruit tree nursery which supplies young stock of cold-hardy, organic-adapted apples, pears, plums, cherries, and fruiting shrubs to Fedco Trees. They also press raw cider on the farm and grow a modest amount of seed and table garlic, carrots, beets, rutabaga, cabbage and other winter storage crops. They use hand, horse, and tractor (and solar!) power.
