Apples, Redfield, quart


One quart of Redfield apples. Redfield is a cross between a red-fleshed crab apple and a Wolf River apple. The red flesh of this baseball-ball size apple is dry like a Wolf River which makes it not great for cider but very desirable for making baked apples. For a real treat, core the apples set them on a baking sheet and fill the center with raisins and tahini and bake in the oven. You’ll wish you had more. Beautiful and delicious! Also excellent for dehydrating.
