Each beeswax wrap was made locally by the Deer Isle-Stonington High School ECO-Club as part of their mission to raise awareness concerning the plastics crisis on our planet. All of the proceeds are used to invest in new ECO-Club projects!
Our beeswax wraps are an eco-friendly alternative to using plastic wrap. They’re made from natural ingredients and they last up to a year with gentle care and wash. The life of the beeswax can also be extended. Pieces of natural cotton fabric have been saturated in a mixture of beeswax, pine resin, and jojoba oil. The wraps are pliable and breathable, allowing them to be molded over food containers while keeping its contents fresh. They can be used on almost any food (except raw meat) and can be cleaned simply with cold water and mild detergent. “Bee the change you want to see!”
Each package includes two beeswax wraps, one small and one large.
