Late Figwort (Scrophularia marilandica)

Potted Native Perennial

Appearances and Uses:

Although some say it has a “weedy” appearance, it is hard to find a plant that produces more nectar, attacting all kinds of pollinators, parasitic wasps and hummingbirds.  The Xerces Society greatly sings its praises!  Best planted in clumps.  Blooms from summer to fall.  Grows up to 6 ft.

Growing Conditions:

Can tolerate shade but will thrive in more sun; Medium to dry soil conditions.
