These greens are bitter, very much so. A little bit of these chopped to add to a salad will do the trick as they’re great used to give a dish a nutritional, bitters boost. Also referred to as our ‘medicinal salad mix’ when more varieties of Chicory are available to add. These are great sauteed in olive oil, vinegar and sea salt. They can also be dried and jarred to incorporate into any medicinal herb, or tea-lover’s apothecary. Dry these along with our fresh Stinging Nettles to make sure you have your nutritional teas in stock for the winter!
