New England Aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae)

Potted Native Perennial (1/2 gallon pot with multiple plants)

Appearances and Uses:

Blooms in fall with dark pink and purple flowers and can grow from 2-5ft tall. Excellent food source for late pollinators and the leaves are host to many caterpillar species.

Growing Conditions:

Sun/Part shade, fertile moist soils. Meadows, roadsides. All asters easily self-sow and benefit from dividing every 4-5 years.
