DIY Door Handle

$9.00

Crooked hardwood limbs that can be trimmed to make nifty “natural” door handles. Varieties include hornbeam, maple, white birch, or cherry. All limbs are seasoned and are 1½ to 2 inches in diameter. One order is one limb of our choice, but you may leave a request if you like. We’ve made many door handles from such limbs, so we’ll send you a good limb.  Trim your limb so that it fits fairly snugly against a flat surface. To avoid splitting the handle, drill three holes for screws—just large enough for your screw shaft to slide through—in both the top and bottom of the handle where it will come in contact with the door. Screws should be long enough to penetrate into the door about 1½ inches; we use 3½” and 4″ torx screws.
