Reishi, (Ganoderma Multipileum) is a slow growing mushroom with a very low moisture content. It forms long antlers that intertwine and grow together as they reach upward to escape the high CO2 environment they are growing in. Once out of the high CO2 environment they will begin to form conk’s, or caps. We harvest before the conk phase due the length of time it takes to develop a cap.
