Schisandra has a long tradition of use in Chinese and Japanese healing traditions. It is called the five-flavored fruit because it’s associated with sweet, sour, bitter, and salty flavors and has an astringent effect. Schisandra has been used as a tonic, restorative, and for respiratory and GI issues. It has also demonstrated liver protectant, nervous system stimulant and adaptogenic effects.
This product does not contain alcohol.
Dosage: take it by the teaspoon or mix into water, seltzer, mocktails, salad dressings or tonics.
