Spotted Bee Balm (Monarda punctata)

Appearances and Uses:

Although not native specificially to Maine (Southern New England), it blooms in late summer/early fall with tiered clusters of white-pale pink flowers.  Gray-green foliage.  Attracts many pollinators and leaves make a nice tea. Grows up to 2ft.

Growing Conditions:

Sun/part shade; Dry sandy/gravely soils.  Roadsides, beaches, pine barrens.
