This is a deposit for ½ or whole lamb ready for pickup late January at JB Meats Butcher Shop in Greene (not at FarmDrop). All meat comes state inspected, frozen, and vacuum sealed for freshness. Price per pound is $12.25/whole lamb, $12.60/half lamb which includes processing and packaging. The meat is sold as price per pound according to the actual weight of the cut and wrapped meat you receive. A half lamb share consists of approximately 15-22 lbs cut and wrapped meat, though this can vary from lamb to lamb. A whole lamb share will typically weigh about 30-44 lbs cut and wrapped. You will be able to pre-order your cuts, including chops, ground, stew meat, leg or shoulder roasts, riblets, rack, or specialty cuts. Most of these cuts range from $14-20/lbs individually, so you get an average a 25% overall discount. I will email you with the order form which need to be completed and returned to me for instructions to the butcher as well as coordination of pick up options.

At Attwood Farm, we lovingly raise our flock of Finn sheep on a rotational grazing system. Our sheep spend every day outside where they have access to nutritious pastures, clean water, and the ability to express their sheep-ish nature as they graze through the season. This system of managed grazing provides our animals with good health and welfare, provides nutrient-dense meat, sequesters carbon, protects watersheds, and creates needed habitats for grassland wildlife. In the winter/cold season, we provide premium hay with small amounts of the highest quality grain. We’re proud of the meat we raise and the manner in which we do it.
