Lindsay Fine-Chaloux, owner and chef of Mount Desert Island Girl Pasta Co.

Lindsay grew up on Mount Desert Island Maine in the town of Bar Harbor, the daughter of a local veterinarian. She left Maine to pursue a Culinary Arts Management degree at the Culinary Institute of America. Working in the food industry she has had the opportunity to frequently return to Italy and continue her education in Italian cuisine.

​The two things Lindsay wanted to do was to raise her family in the town she grew up in and start her own pasta business. 5 years ago, she started Mount Desert Island Pasta Company. Offering creative fresh pasta at local farmers Markets.

Currently Lindsay has expanded into specialty food shops with a solid line of 5 different varieties. She still offers creative specials at the farmers markets, like her Lobster Ravioli, Duck confit and blueberry compote agnolotti, Pulled Pork and smoked gouda ravioli, butternut squash, sweet potato and maple ravioli and dulse fettuccini (which she does on a rotating basis). Lindsay is also offering gluten free varieties this year. All of her products use produce and cheeses from local vendors.

Lindsay’s mission is to offer the amazing bounty of Maine produce with an Italian twist!
