In 2017, Dorothy “Dottie” B. Hayes established the Food for Thought Fund. Her experience in schools informed her belief that a hungry student cannot be a focused learner. The income from this endowment fund is used each year to help pay for school lunches for students whose families are in need of financial assistance.
